Comedian and 'SNL' Star Delivers Witty Performance

Jost Wins Over Crowd with Praise for Biden, Jokes Fall Flat

Colin Jost, co-anchor of "Saturday Night Live's" Weekend Update, headlined this year's White House Correspondents' Dinner, delivering a mix of sharp remarks and crowd-pleasing humor.

Jost kicked off his set by praising President Joe Biden for his "subtlety" and ability to "break societal norms" by looking at his watch during the speech. He also joked about Biden's age, saying, "If there's one thing we've learned about Joe Biden, it's that he doesn't slow down. 2,500 days old and still going strong."

However, some of Jost's jokes about the media and the current political climate fell flat with the audience. His jokes about the "toxic" relationship between the press and the president, as well as his jabs at cable news, received mixed reactions.

Despite the uneven performance, Jost seemed to win over the crowd with his closing message of unity. He urged Americans to "come together" and support the president, even if they don't agree with everything he does.

Other highlights of the evening included a performance by comedian Roy Wood Jr. and a speech by Senator Chuck Schumer of New York.
