CONCACAF Champions Cup: Pachuca Crowned Champions with Emphatic Victory

Historic Triumph Marks Sixth Title for Mexican Club

Pachuca Dominates Columbus Crew in Final

Pachuca, Mexico - Pachuca emerged victorious in the inaugural CONCACAF Champions Cup, defeating MLS side Columbus Crew 3-0 at Estadio Hidalgo. The triumph marks Pachuca's sixth title in the competition, solidifying their status as a continental powerhouse.

Venezuelan striker Salomón Rondón was the star of the show, scoring a brace to lead Pachuca to glory. His goals in the 31st and 50th minutes gave the Mexican side a comfortable lead, and Roberto de la Rosa sealed the victory in the 75th minute.

"We are delighted to have won the first CONCACAF Champions Cup," said Pachuca manager Guillermo Almada. "Our players played with great passion and determination, and they deserve all the credit for this achievement."

The CONCACAF Champions Cup is the successor to the CONCACAF Champions League, the premier continental club football competition in North and Central America and the Caribbean. Beginning with the 2024 edition, the Champions Cup replaces the Champions League as the crowning tournament for men's club football in the region.
